Winners of the IPS Lifetime and Outstanding Achievement Awards announced
We are delighted to announce that Professor Mewa Singh has been awarded the IPS Lifetime Achievement Award for his over 50-years of substantial service to the field of primatology. His work includes the behavioural ecology of wide range of primate species from langurs to lorises, and his painstaking long-term work with bonnet macaques was key to championing their protection in a time of extensive deforestation.
We are similarly delighted to announce that Anthony Rylands has been awarded the IPS Outstanding Achievement Award for his exceptional work in supporting primate conservation, in particular through his expertise and dedicated service to maintaining the list of currently recognised primate taxa adopted by both the IUCN and the Taxonomic Information System.
