Fundraising

Donations are a key way we fund our training programs and some of our specialised grants programs, such as the The Galante Family Winery Conservation Scholarship and the Charles Southwick Conservation Education Commitment Award. Anyone can make a donation at any size – you can find the details for our Heritage and Conservation funds here.

Donations to the Conservation Fund help directly support IPS conservation initiatives including grants to support development of primate conservation field projects. The Conservation Committee of IPS also supports the Pre-Congress Training Program for primatologists from around the world.

Donations to the General Fund help directly support IPS initiatives in research, education, and captive care. Each year IPS funds several student theoretically oriented research grants, educational opportunities, and captive care issues.

The Heritage Fund is a mechanism for larger donations to IPS. This is an endowed fund and interest earned on the Heritage Fund will augment the Society’s ability to fund student related projects in research and education. Read more about this fund here..

The Masters and Genin African Primatology Fund was established to honor the memories of Judith Masters and Fabien Genin who were tragically killed in South Africa. Both Masters and Genin were extraordinary researchers and dedicated teachers and mentors. Grants from this fund will support research by African and Malagasy primatology students.
