IPS Congress: Change of Dates 20-25th July

This week we were informed that the President of Madagascar has decided to host the SADC (Southern African Development Community) Summit in Madagascar at the same time we were planning to have the IPS Congress. The location of the event space we were to use for our Congress is owned and operated by the government.  They have priority over the space and the right by contract to move us out.  Their event coincides directly with the original planned dates for our Congress. In addition, all hotel space in the capital will be taken by delegates and air travel will be difficult to obtain.

The Local Arrangements Committee and the IPS Executive committee have moved quickly to secure an alternative date and venue for our meeting.  We have been able to secure space at the Novotel in Antananarivo.  However, we have been forced to change the dates of the congress.  We will now be meeting from July 20-25, 2025, please note that the council meetings will be held on the 26th.

We understand that this change is extremely disruptive.  We deeply regret this, but we have no choice.  We hope that you will still be able to attend the Congress.  However, if you have already registered and now find you cannot attend the meeting, we will completely refund your registration fees.  Please, let Trudy Turner, the Treasurer (membership@internationalprimatologicalsociety.org) know you need a complete refund by April 15, 2025.

Please also be on the look-out for new hotel information on the Congress website.  Rooms are available at the Novotel Hotel and the nearby Ibis Hotel.

We hope that this Congress will be a wonderful event and look forward to your participation.  Again, we are deeply sorry for this disruption.
