Captive Care Grants

Suspension of several IPS grant programmes in the current 2021 call We sadly have to announce that the IPS Officers have made the difficult decision to suspend several of the IPS grant programmes at this time. The Galante Family Winery Conservation Scholarship, the Charles Southwick Conservation Education Commitment Award, and the Lawrence Jacobsen Education Development Grants will all go ahead so please do send your applications in; however, the current call for Captive care, Conservation, and Research grants has had to be suspended.
The Captive Care and Breeding Committee is charged with acquiring and disseminating information on ethical and welfare issues and on new technology dealing with captive care and breeding of primates. We are responsible for announcing, receiving, and judging grant and award programs that are aligned with this office. The IPS has produced international guidelines for the aquisition, care, and breeding of nonhuman primates - available here. (English, French, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, and Thai versions available).
